http://www.kdgc.com/rosehill.htm This was a first for me. Much harder to throw than a frisbee, but good fun. Thanks to my friend Tom who at 60 has as much energy than Josh and Turner at 14.
Not really an extrovert, putting myself out there in public doesn't really come naturally. I wouldn't put myself at the other end of the spectrum though with the squonk, a legendary creature that hides from plain sight and spends much of its time weeping. But the song of the same name by Genesis from 1976 sticks in my head from listening repeatedly to their double-live album "Seconds Out" when I was in college.
I'm not really sure what a squonker would be, but everybody seems to have a catchy handle and this popped into my head when I wanted to make and alias I could use for an online persona back when MSN Messenger was the cool social network. Squonker seems unique enough that I don't find many others using the same alias, so it meets the individualism criteria that we all seem to crave. It also sounds like a morph of squawker, so could it be a real word some day?
